Christmas thoughts
As we go through the Advent season, it is often hard for us to stay focused on the true meaning of the season. Familiar sayings like "Keep Christ in Christmas" and "Jesus is the reason for the season" are somewhat overused and overused and trite now and so are ineffective. What does help you to keep the holy

What helps me keep the focus is the fact that i'll be surrounded by Christ's presence. Also that I'll be with my family during the holidays. I really believe that "Jesus is the reason for the season"
Uhhhhh, my mom keeps me holy because she always reminds me that christmas isnt about gettin gifts or giving them.. but its about the birth of jesus.. =)
What helps me keep the holy is remebering that Christmas is about the birth of Jesus christ.Spending time with my family and charishing moments with them. Using the holiday season as a time of giving back to the community. A time of remembering how much I have to be greatful for.A time to show how much a love one means to me.
My mom helps me keep the season holy. She taught me that there's more meaning to Advent than the Birth of Christ. It's about being selfless. Its about being willing to give up things you want for others. Or taking the time to do things you don't necessarily want to do. It's a time to appreciate all the things you have that others don't.
Mom always told me that Christmas is not all about a time of giving it also is a time to think about what Jesus done for us. She also always tells me and my brother on christmas day to thank Jesus Even more for blessing us with the things that we have in our life. One thing that keeps me foucus on Jesus on christmas is when we go to church on christmas eve. Another thing that keeps me focus is when my family comes over on christmas and we all gather around the table to pray and while we are praying i look around at all my family members and thank about how god has blessed me with a beautiful family. The last thing that keeps me focus is the star that sits on top of my christmas because it reminds of the story of christ being born.
